On the one hand we have the rise of DeFi and the NFT delusion. On the technical side, we have the EIP-1559 update coming in July. And on the corporate side, we have Visa, which handles transactions in USDC, the EIB 100 million euro digital bond and the release of the CME Ethereum Futures.
Add to that the three Ethereum ETFs that were recently approved in Canada. Institutional acceptance seems to follow the path of Bitcoin. However, the king of cryptocurrencies cannot currently compete with all the other use cases and incredible developments taking place in the Ethereum landscape. The question is, should it? Does Bitcoin need to compete?
